Expeditions
Whale Sharks – Isla Mujeres, Mexico
Isla Mujeres in Mexico is the seasonal home of large numbers of whale sharks over the summer months.
Whale sharks use these waters for their feeding on plankton and fish eggs.
On this expedition with Blue Sphere Foundation and Sea Legacy, we saw first-hand through how using art and media as essential tools to spark curiosity tell powerful visual stories, and inspire conservation action.
Humpback Whales – Vava’u, Tonga
Vatuvara Foundation had the unique opportunity to join expeditions with Blue Sphere Foundation and Matt Draper to interact with one of the most majestic of all ocean animals, the humpback whales.
Humpback whales migrate each year from cold Antarctic waters and spend five months among the islands in Tonga.
Large numbers of Humpback Whales arrive in these calm, safe waters to mate and give birth to their calves.
